Concrete Calculator
The Concrete Calculator estimates the volume and weight of concrete necessary to cover a given area. Purchasing slightly more concrete than the estimated result can reduce the probability of having insufficient concrete.
| Volume | |
| Weight needed | |
| Using 60-lb bags | |
| Using 80-lb bags |
* Density: 2,130 kg/m³ or 133 lbs/ft³. Different types of concrete can have very different densities.

How to Use:
- Select calculator type
- Choose unit of measurement
- Enter dimensions
- Specify quantity
- Click Calculate
Understanding Results:
- Volume: Concrete needed in cubic feet, yards, meters
- Weight: Total weight in lbs and kg
- Bags: Number of 60-lb or 80-lb bags needed
Tips:
- Order 5-10% extra for spillage
- Density: 2,130 kg/m³ (133 lbs/ft³)
- Double-check measurements
1. Slabs, Footings, Walls:
Volume = Length × Width × Thickness × Quantity
2. Columns:
Volume = π × (Diameter/2)² × Height × Quantity
3. Tubes:
Volume = π × [(Outer D/2)² - (Inner D/2)²] × Height × Quantity
4. Curb:
Volume = (Depth × Height × Length + Width × Thickness × Length) × Quantity
5. Stairs:
Volume = Sum(Tread Depth × Step Number × Riser Height × Width) + Platform Volume
Weight:
lbs = Volume(ft³) × 133
kg = Volume(m³) × 2,130
Bags:
60-lb = Weight(lbs) ÷ 60
80-lb = Weight(lbs) ÷ 80
π ≈ 3.14159
